Courses

The DS School of Entrepreneurship offers 8 courses relevant to innovation and entrepreneurship. These are open to under-graduate as well as post-graduate (Masters and PhD) students of the Institute (facilitated by dual numbering scheme).

The courses can be tagged as either Minor or Institute Elective. B.Tech. students can start taking DSSE courses from second year onward; those who complete a minimum of 30 credits receive an additional degree of B.Tech. (Minor) in Entrepreneurship.

There is one foundation course (6 credits), four half-semester courses (3 credits each), two lab courses (6 credits each) and one capstone course (6 credits). The foundation course is taken in the beginning and the capstone course at the end; others can be taken in any sequence. A few relevant courses offered in other departments are also recommended as electives, depending on the industry sector of interest to the aspiring entrepreneurs. All courses employ an interactive and collaborative pedagogy, using case discussions, field assignments and team projects.
